Returns Policy

1. Our Returns Policy
Our returns policy is governed by our suppliers' terms and the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa. We recommend contacting us first at support@techniworld.co.za so we can liaise with the relevant supplier on your behalf.
2. 7-Day Return Window
You may return an unopened product within 7 days of delivery, provided it is in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Products that have been opened, used, or damaged by the customer cannot be returned unless defective.
3. Defective Products
If your product is defective on arrival (DOA) or develops a fault within the warranty period, please contact us immediately. We will assess the product and arrange a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with our suppliers' warranty policies. Rectron-supplied products are handled under Rectron's official warranty terms. Syntech-supplied products are handled under Syntech's warranty terms.
4. Warranty Periods
Warranty periods vary by product and manufacturer. The warranty period for each product is indicated on the product page where available. Standard warranties cover manufacturing defects only and do not cover physical damage, water damage, or misuse.
5. How to Return a Product
To initiate a return or warranty claim: (1) Email support@techniworld.co.za with your order number and a description of the issue. (2) We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions. (3) Products must be returned with all original accessories and packaging. (4) The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or incorrectly supplied.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned product. Refunds are issued via the original payment method where possible. EFT refunds will be processed to the bank account used for payment.
7. Exclusions
The following are not eligible for return or refund: software products once opened or activated; products damaged due to misuse, accident, or unauthorised modification; consumable items such as ink, toner, or batteries unless defective on arrival.
8. Consumer Protection Act
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. You retain all statutory rights afforded to you by South African law.
